How to Troubleshoot Windows Varying Versions via Msconfig

Many times, in case of Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows vista, some of the processes go on in the background would prevent different types of applications, like iTunes to operate in correct manner, open or install properly. However, the positive thing in this case is that you will easily resolve this type of problem by disabling some of the items with the help of Msconfig often referred as System Configuration Utility advent in Windows operating systems. For this, you have to follow some important steps mentioned here.

Type Msconfig and Click Run

Firstly, you have to type Msconfig into the File Explorer by the help of address bar and after that; you should press on Return in case of Windows 8. On the other side, if you have the operating systems of Vista and Windows 7, you have to click over All Programs from Start menu and later on, click over Accessories.

Once you complete this initial activity, you should click over Run, where the Run window or command prompt will appear. Simply, you have to type Msconfig within the Openfield and click over OK button.

Click Continue

After this, if Windows require permission for continuation, you should click over Continue. This process will open the System Configuration Utility feature. After this, users have to click over the General tab.

Choose for Selective Startup

Now, computer users have to select the option of “Selective Startup”, while at the same time should deselect checkbox of Load Startup Item. However, in order to perform this step, you have to disable Startup items and System Services contained by third party, which could present some of the software programs or OEM hardware of the computer from working in correct manner.

Select Checkboxes from the List

Once you choose for the Selective Startup, you have to click over the Startup tab and select QuickTime and iTunes checkboxes present in the list.

All Microsoft Services and Blocked Software

In this step, users should click over the Services tab and at the same time should make sure about the selection of All Microsoft Services. Later on, you have to click over the option of Disable All. On the other side, if you have to troubleshoot the issue related to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices, you should essentially select the checkbox of Apple Mobile Device.

Now, you have to click on OK and then on the restart button. Once you complete with the restart process, you will find a message that appears and states the Window OS blocked its startup programs. In this way, you will find the icon of Blocked software program present inside the notification area of the actual taskbar. Simultaneously, you should click over the message option.

System Configuration Utility Selection

Click over the icon indicating Blocked startup programs icon, choose for the Run blocked program and choose System Configuration Utility. If Windows require permission of users to continue with its activities, you should essentially click over Continue.

On doing this, you will find a window appearing on the screen to confirm about the usage of System Configuration Utility for making changes in to the Way, by which Windows Start. Thus, by clicking on OK, System Configuration Utility will appear and your issues will resolve forever.
